Conmen Force Man To Pay Fake Fine Of INR 5000 For Paan In Malad

Real time conmen seem to be becoming inherently active, with a group of men conning a young man of INR 5000 in Malad, under the pretext of fining him for ordering and eating paan in a recently reported Mumbai crime.

It all began when the man ordered and ate a paan while traveling from Malad towards Kandivili. On the way, he was accosted by two men who were on a two-wheeler.

According to the FIR, one of them sat pillion with him, and threatened him to take him to the police station.

Later on, some other individuals joined the con, and the man was told that he would need to pay INR 25,000 if he wanted to settle the matter without going to the police station.

The man didn’t have that kind of amount, and when the two men searched him, they found INR 5000 on him, which they confiscated, and took the photograph of his Aadhar card.

The man understood the ruse when he reached his office and spoke about the incident to his sister and other individuals.
