A serious domestic dispute, dubbed the “Andheri theft,” turned criminal on the evening of June 10, when a woman, now an alleged female criminal, entered her estranged husband’s Andheri East residence and made off with valuables worth over ₹3.13 lakh without his consent. The FIR was filed two days later at the Andheri Police Station under IPC Section 305(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
According to the complaint, the couple had been living separately since January 2024 due to ongoing marital issues. The complainant alleges that the woman, formerly residing with him, had moved to her father’s adjacent flat following disputes stemming from her reported extramarital relationship.
Despite the separation, tensions between the two continued, with multiple police complaints exchanged over arguments and disturbances. The woman allegedly made frequent unauthorised entries into her estranged husband’s residence, causing disturbances and property damage.
The latest and most serious incident occurred at approximately 6:50 PM on June 10, when the woman, reportedly under the guise of accompanying her child back home, entered the complainant’s unlocked flat. Once inside, she allegedly began shouting and creating a commotion. The complainant and his two children retreated to another room to avoid confrontation.
Taking advantage of their absence from the main hall, the accused allegedly stole several valuable items, including:
- An Apple MacBook Pro (approx. ₹1,80,000)
- An iPhone 16E (approx. ₹40,000)
- Cash totalling ₹18,510
- Gold-plated religious idols worth ₹50,000
- Electronic accessories and chargers
- Personal documents, debit/credit cards, and ID cards
- Wallets, bags, keys, and office paperwork
The alleged female criminal’s theft was reportedly captured on the complainant’s in-home security system, which recorded the woman forcibly damaging the bedroom door with a bat upon returning a second time..
