Woman Strangles Paramour In Malad, Frames Wife

In what could become famous as the Malad East Hotel Murder, an extramarital affair went horribly wrong for a man, after his paramour killed him by strangling him in a hotel room in Malad East. The woman then sent a fake suicide note, framing his husband for the death. However, the woman has now been arrested by the Mumbai police for the death. Shockingly, the woman is related to the deceased.

According to the police, the two developed feelings for each other, but the woman’s husband found out all about it. The husband and wife started living separately, and the woman lived in her maternal home. It was only recently that the woman met her paramour in Mumbai, meeting him at a hotel in Malad, and strangled him.

According to news reports, the man was based in Mira Road and had a business in Orlem. When the family got the message purportedly from the man, they panicked and lodged a police complaint.

The woman escaped from Mumbai and started living near her maternal house, but it all came to nought because of the man’s son looking out for his father and CCTV footage. The son used the latest location on his father’s mobile phone to find out about his whereabouts and reached Malad.

There, he found out that his father and a woman claiming to be the man’s wife stayed in a hotel. However, the son quickly realised that the woman was not his mother. Also, the man was illiterate, so the family found it a bit difficult to digest that he would send a suicide note.

The crime, of course, is sensational and is bound to hold the headlines for a few days. However, what comes out is that the woman didn’t apply any thought to the murder. For example, the man’s last location could be easily found with a mobile phone. CCTVS have become pretty common now and are routinely part of police investigations.
