Drunk Claims Theft of Gold Jewellery And Mobile After Passing Out

Drinking is injurious to health, and it is a constant leech to finances as well, with several alcoholics losing their everything to the tipple. However, one such person who enjoyed his tipple saw some lightning-fast losses, and that too in a unique manner in a unique Mumbai crime.

The man owned a shop in Vasai, Mumbai, and lived in Andheri. A week ago, while returning from Vasai to his house, he consumed liquor twice: once after shutting his shop and later on his way home.

The man claims that he was in a drunken stupor by the time he was nearing home and had fallen off the street. He claims that he was sleeping for a good couple of hours. When he woke up, he figured out that his gold jewellery and mobile were missing.

Was the individual a regular drinker? Did he feel uneasy only after he had his second session of drinking? Or was he already under the influence of alcohol when he left his shop after the first session?

We are pretty sure these and other facts will come through during the investigation. But at the outset, it seems like someone took advantage of the man’s drunken stupor and sleeping on the street.
