We have all heard about mobiles disappearing, but this bold Mumbai crime involves an entire mobile tower disappearing in Mahaveer Nagar in Kandivli, Mumbai. The tower was installed in 2009. In 2023, the company discovered that the whole mobile tower and its paraphernalia had disappeared. This is a unique case because of the very nature of the crime and where it happened, according to this report in The Free Press Journal.
Mahaveer Nagar is in the busy suburb of Kandivli in Mumbai. It is a posh locality but is also surrounded by crowded areas on all sides, including the Dahanukar Wadi market area. One cannot travel even a hundred meters without coming across someone. Mahaveer Nagar also has a direct connection to the SV Road and even the Link Road. How the mobile tower was dismantled, towed, and transported from Mahaveer Nagar to wherever its final resting place is a mystery that the authorities will now need to crack.
